ATLANTA, February 6, 2025 - The Educated Choices Program (ECP) has released its third education package in collaboration with The Good Food Institute, a nonprofit think tank and international network of organizations working to accelerate alternative protein innovation. In this new 10-minute video titled “What is Plant-Based Meat?” viewers will discover cutting-edge food technology that enhances the taste and texture of plant-based meats, and learn how they are created through ingredient selection, texturization processes, and more.
This educational video and the accompanying curriculum are part of ECP and GFI’s collaborative “Food Innovation Series,” a project focused on providing accessible education about alternative proteins and the future of global food production to students and communities worldwide. The series was introduced with the release of “What is Cultivated Meat?” followed by the creation of “What is Cow-Free Dairy… and Other Fermentation-Enabled Proteins.”
“What is Plant-Based Meat?” is now available through the ECP Video Library and includes lesson plans, quizzes, guided notes, discussion prompts, and activities designed to further engage audience members during and after the video presentation.
