ECP Announces Strategic Partnership with Alimentando el Mañana

ATLANTA, September 23, 2024 — The Educated Choices Program (ECP) is pleased to announce its partnership with Alimentando el Mañana, a leading organization dedicated to helping public and private institutions in Argentina and Colombia ensure a better future for our planet by creating healthier, more sustainable, fairer, and more economical menus.

The Alimentando el Mañana teams include specialized professionals, nutritionists, and chefs who can advise institutions on information, planning, training, support, and direct assistance for implementing changes in their menus. ECP will expand its reach by creating opportunities to offer presentations and educational materials that resonate with teachers, students, and community and institutional leaders in Argentina and Colombia.

“Our partnership with Alimentando el Mañana represents a shared vision of educating the next generation on the importance of healthy and sustainable eating,” said Lorena Mucke, CEO and Founder of Educated Choices Program (ECP). “Together, we will amplify our efforts, offering resources and educational materials that are accessible, informative, and practical.”

According to Alexandra Navarro, Senior Manager of Food Policy for the program in Argentina, “This collaboration expands our capacity to educate institutions on the relationship between food and the climate crisis, topics that are scarcely addressed in our region. We believe that through their training, we will achieve a transformative change in the way institutions implement more sustainable menus, strengthening the implementation of our program in Argentina. This will facilitate the shift towards more responsible food practices and raise awareness of the impact of our food choices on the future of the planet."

“This partnership represents a significant step towards a sustainable reality in Colombia. We are excited about this alliance, which strengthens our commitment to food education and community empowerment, particularly in diverse and hard-to-reach areas, as well as in rural and marginalized regions, where food scarcity and socio-environmental issues pose critical challenges,” said Natalia Téllez, Food Policy Manager of Alimentando el Mañana in Colombia.

Both organizations are committed to making a positive and lasting impact on the lives of the members of their communities. By working together, ECP and Alimentando el Mañana aim to inspire lifelong habits that support healthier lives and a more sustainable planet.
