ECP Awarded Community Champion Grant by Constellation For Environmental Food Education

ATLANTA, January 20, 2025 – The Educated Choices Program (ECP) has been named a Constellation Community Champion for the third consecutive year. This grant will support ECP’s mission to expand access to its “The Environment and Modern Agriculture education package, highlighting the critical connection between food choices and environmental issues like water and air pollution, resource depletion, deforestation, and overall planetary health.

The Constellation Community Champion grant program has supported over 2,500 community-driven projects across 28 states focusing on initiatives that combine education and environmental stewardship including mentoring programs, library enhancements, and tree-planting efforts. One of ECP’s flagship videos and education packages — “The Environment and Agriculture” — aligns with the program’s goals. With a growing audience of over 406,000 viewers, this education package has successfully sparked positive behavioral change, especially considering that 90% of ECP’s audience report positive dietary changes post-presentation.

"We are thrilled to receive continued support from Constellation, a partner who shares our vision of educating students about sustainable food choices," said Lorena Mucke, CEO and Founder of ECP.

"Their commitment to building a healthier planet through education is helping empower the next generation to make more informed decisions that benefit both their health and the environment."

Notably, over 80% of ECP viewers have cited the environment as their primary motivator for change, making this presentation more relevant than ever. This data, paired with the effectiveness of the curriculum, has prompted ECP to regularly update its materials, ensuring the content remains accurate and timely. The most recent updates to the “The Environment and Modern Agriculture package are now available in English and Spanish, including the latest statistics from reputable sources and engaging new visuals.
